Kindness

Hello! Rachel here today with a simple watercolored card featuring the Time To Blossom stamp set!

I started my card by cutting a panel from some Ranger Watercolor paper. I stamped my image twice in Versamark ink and then heat embossed in white embossing powder. I used Distress Inks to watercolor with.

I cut my "kindness" die from some white cardstock and adhered it to my panel with Multi Medium Matte. I selectively inked the rest of my sentiment to stamp above and below my die cut in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white embossing powder.

It's a little hard to see the sentiment in the picture, but it's very clear in person. The watercolor helps it stand out from the paper.

That's it for me! Thanks for stopping by!

Distress Oxide fun

Hi, hi, hello!

Erica on the blog with another super simple, but rather eye-catching, card.

Recently I got the second lot of Distress Oxide inks and ooooh, that Picked Raspberry... L-O-V-E!! Well, I simply had to use it on several projects right away because #lovepink, am I right?

Getting a piece of smooth water colour card stock out, as well as arming myself with Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber in the Distress Oxide inks too because options. Right-o, I basically went to town with blending and adding colour as I wanted the background really, REALLY vivid. Once I was happy it was colourful enough, I spritzed some water drops on it and lifted that off with a piece of kitchen roll. To hurry up the drying process, I used my heat gun on it until it was bone dry so I could run it through my Big Shot with a stitched die.

Then it was time to add images and sentiments. As my plan was to heat emboss the image in white on vellum I picked the one I think makes the biggest splash…

Hugs

Thinking of You

Karen with you today and its my pleasure to share this little card with you.   I took my colouring inspiration from a magnolia tree that I pass on my way to school which had one random flower come to life.  I think it must have been testing the weather after a couple of nice days to see if spring had sprung.  It hasn't and no more flowers have bloomed since.

I had some die cuts sitting on my desk from a card I posted a couple of days ago.  I used the reverse cuts on that card so had these left aside.  Shame to waste them so I added them to the background of my flower.  My flower is coloured in pencil and fussy cut then popped up on foam.

To finish it off I added a pretty ribbon and some Kennedy Grace Mother of Pearl sequins.

Heartfelt Thanks with Erica

Hello, Erica back on the blog today. I've swapped a day with poor Rachel who has done her back in but she's going to cover one of my dates while I'm moving house at the end of the month and beginning of next. A Thank You card seemed appropriate for today's post with that in mind.

I stamped up the lovely bloom from Just A Rose and coloured it in with my Copic markers. I wanted a light and bright look so I used a flicking motion and left plenty of white space on the petals. The leaves I did in a similar manner but the stamens in the middle got a dark pink colour.

I fussy cut the flower out and added foam tape to the back of it while I was in a cutting frenzy. Once that was done I set it aside and started on the background.

Grabbing my new Distress Oxide inks I blended some green shades all over a card panel. My first idea was to stamp up some leaves on it and make it look like a rose bush on which the flower would sit. I decided on trying something new instead and got a…
